Super Aki 64

Super Aki 64 v1.1Download

Installation

This is a tutorial on how to install Super Mario 64 Co-Op Deluxe as well as my own personal mod made by GeloxNG!

You'll need the following:

In order to get Super Mario 64 Co-Op Deluxe you should be able to find it on this page, scroll down the page until you see a github page link. Click that link. 

This should bring you to the latest release page for Super Mario 64 Co-Op Deluxe's Github. If for whatever reason it doesn't and brings you to this page instead, just hover your mouse over to "Releases" right here and click that, that should bring you back to this page where the download is.

Now you want to scroll down this page and select your device! Depending on your Operating System, this tutorial will vary a bit, but not to worry it should be easy and simple to understand. I'm running Windows, so I'm going to be downloading the DirectX version of this project. You can also choose to download the OpenGL version if that suits your fancy.

Once you have that .zip folder in your downloads, go ahead and open that and extract that to a new folder. I personally like to open it, after making a new folder and dragging everything in there. Once you're done, you can delete the .zip folder you won't need anymore.

You may have noticed that when you open up Super Mario 64 Co-Op Deluxe that it has not detected a Super Mario 64 ROM. Unfortunately I can not provide this for you nor can I give you information on how to find a ROM, you'll have to do your own research. 

After acquiring your Super Mario 64 U ROM, drag and drop it into Super Mario 64 Co-Op Deluxe. It'll take a moment to decompile some information and set up Co-Op Deluxe's settings and initialization files. 

Once that is completed, run Super Mario 64 Co-Op Deluxe by itself by loading into any project, whether base Super Mario 64, or any ROM Hacks of Super Mario 64 and then close the program. Now you're going to go to the mods folder inside the Co-Op Deluxe folder I asked you to make earlier.

You're now going to go to orangeisborange.com and go to the Mods section, there you'll find a Super Aki 64 Thumbnail there. From here, click the Download Mod button on the left. Once you have the download, you can open the .zip folder and drag and drop the Aki 1.0 Mod folder as is into your Co-Op DX's mods folder.

After that you will launch Super Mario 64 Co-Op Deluxe. From the menu screen, you're going to hit Host, then hit Mods. In this section you're going to want to make sure that "Character Select" and "[CS] Aki Model" is checked. Then hit the back button, if you did everything correctly you should have the Aki mod functioning! Now just to enter a world and select the character mod.

To do so, you're going to hit Enter on your keyboard, and then type /char-select and then hit enter. Scroll down until you see Aki made by GeloxNG. Select Aki and you should have her as your main character now! 🙂

This mod is compatible with other Super Mario 64 ROM Hacks by the way, so go give it a try and see!
